         Students made a plant id book, they researced each plant and found out how to
         identiy them

         We discussed the movie and important facts about Beethoven's life and music.
         The students in turn used this information to do a crossword puzzle




         They didn't like having to write & then proofread. Enjoyed looking up & finding
         words in the spelling dictionary & learning their meaning

         Students were to pick any one of the twenty-seven amendments and write
         about that amendments history and its impact on society, as well as the the
         amendment came about.

         The students where required to use the internet and other printed sources they
         could find in the library to write a report about one of the main organelles found
         in animal cells. A works cited page was also required.




         Students were to look at a North Dakota facts sheet and make a bar graph so
         that they could realize the difference in age and race that makes up North
         Dakota's population.
         Students were given a map handout and had to organize and memorize
         provinces and capitals of Canada, a week later they were tested on the map.

         Students were given a handout of ND facts and had to do a matching
         assignment and place certain events that occurred in ND in chronological
         order.
         Students were given a handout of Central America -- Focus was on Civil Wars
         in Central American countries and when they occurred -- cultures, and nations
         involved were discussed
Students were given various topics, including people, events, and even certain
battles of the American Revolutionary War and how all of these parts
contributed to American Independence
Students selected an element, researched information about that element, and
wrote a report following the MLA format.

The students were asked to research one of four different habitats by utilizing
the internet, encycolpedias, and their textbooks. In pairs, they gathered the
information and organized it into four categories - plants, animals, weather, and
