Children’s Religious Education
CCE Classes for PK4-8th grade
CCE classes provide the foundation necessary for a child’s ongoing faith
formation and development. It is critical that children receive regular instruction
in the faith throughout their school years, not just in the years they anticipate
Classes are offered in English for PK4-8th grade. Classes in Spanish are offered
for PK4-5th grade.
English language classes (PK4-8th grade) are offered on Sundays from 9:00-
10:30 AM in the school building. Spanish language classes (PK4-5th grade) and
English language 6th-8th grade classes are offered on Sundays from 11:00AM-
12:30 PM in the school building.
CCE Tuition covers the cost of the CCE textbook and all materials and supplies
used throughout the year.

Sacramental Preparation for First Penance and First
A child must be registered for their regular grade level CCE class (or attend
Catholic school or an approved home school program) in order to register for
Sacramental Preparation for First Penance and First Eucharist. Children who are
in grade 4 and above must complete one year of religious education prior to
entering the Sacramental Preparation Program.
Children’s classes for First Penance are offered on 3 Saturdays during the
fall/winter. Children’s classes for First Eucharist are offered on 3 Saturdays
during the winter/spring. Parents MUST attend one class on Penance and one
class on Eucharist.
Sacramental Preparation for the Children’s
Children who are over the age of 7 who have not been baptized will be prepared
to receive the three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and
Eucharist). Children who were baptized in another faith will be prepared to make
a Profession of Faith and receive Confirmation and Eucharist.
These students will undertake a special course of CCE study on Sundays during
their first year of preparation in order to accelerate their learning of the faith.
In addition to Sunday CCE classes in the second year, these students will attend
3 Saturday classes during the fall/winter to focus on Baptism/Confirmation. They
will attend 3 Saturday classes during the winter/spring to focus on Eucharist.
Parents MUST attend the Sunday Parent Classes during their child’s CCE time
each year. In the Sacramental Preparation year, Parents MUST also attend one
class on Baptism/Confirmation and one class on Eucharist.
Sacramental Preparation Fees:
These fees are in addition to CCE registration tuition. Students must be
registered in CCE (or Catholic School or approved home school) to participate in
Sacramental Preparation. These fees cover the costs of special sacramental
preparation textbooks, parent resources, materials, supplies, receptions and

Our Confirmation Preparation program is offered during the 9th grade year, with
Confirmation scheduled for the fall of the 10th grade year. In order to enter the
Confirmation program, a student must be in the 9th grade or higher, and have
attended religious education the previous year in CCE, a Catholic School or an
approved home schooling program. If a student needs to fulfill their pre- requisite
year, he/she will attend Sunday CCE classes designed to accelerate their
learning of the faith with other teens.
Confirmation classes meet every Wednesday evening from 7-8:30 PM during the
school year. Classes are offered in English only, with parent/sponsor sessions
offered in English and Spanish. Other program requirements include service
hours, saint report, and attendance at 2 daylong retreats on campus.
This tuition covers all expenses associated with Confirmation preparation
including textbooks, materials and supplies, two full day retreats, snacks,
reception and professional photography.

For all Children’s Religious Education Programs
Payment plans are available throughout the year for those who
cannot make a lump sum payment. NO ONE will be denied Religious
Education because of inability to pay. We are willing to work with you
to ensure that all are able to receive religious education and
sacrament preparation as appropriate.
Adult Faith Formation Programs
We offer a 6 week preparation for those adults who have not received the
Sacrament of Confirmation. Classes in English or Spanish are held on the 6
Tuesdays immediately following Easter Sunday. Adults who faithfully attend all
sessions and who are found to be ready will receive Confirmation on Pentecost
Sunday. There is no cost for this program.
Infant Baptism Preparation
Parents will attend an informational meeting with a deacon, at which time they
will register for a Saturday class on the history of Baptism and the meaning of the
sacrament. Information nights are held monthly as are Saturday classes.
Parents and godparents are required to attend the class, or attend baptism
formation at another Catholic parish and provide a letter indicating their
attendance. Classes are offered in English or Spanish. Please call the Rectory at

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process through which one
becomes fully initiated into the Catholic Church. Adults who were never baptized
or who were baptized into another Christian denomination may enter the process
at any time during the year. Inquiry sessions in English are held each
Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the Adult Education Building. Spanish Language
RCIA is offered on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 PM in the Adult Education
Building. There is no cost for this program.
