  FOR THE SUPPLY OF CONDUCTORS FOR 400kV OHTL TO
                  CONNECT IPP3 S/S

                         BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The works comprise design, manufacture, testing, packing, (CFR) supply
and delivery into the dock of Aqaba port in Jordan and guarantee
(maintain ) for 12 months the Aluminium Conductor Aluminium Clad
Steel Reinforced (ACSR/ACS) 560/50 which will be used to for the 400
kV OHTL to connect IPP3 S/S from Amman East S/S with total length of
approximately 10 km which consist of double circuit, three phase and twin
Conductor per phase.

   - Tender Document Price :- nonrefundable amount of (125) JD.

   - Closing Date : 02:00 pm time 30 / 10 /2011 (Amman local
     time).
   - The Conductor Amount will be 130 km of single conductor.

   - Bid Bond: 33 000 Jordan Dinar.

   - Validity of Tender Bond 150 calendar days after closing date .

   - Offer prices shall be fixed and valid for 150 days based on London
      Metal Exchange ( LME ) Price according to the following formula:-

      - Basic price of Aluminium: 2 500 US Dollar per metric ton.

      - Basic price of Steel : 600 US Dollar per metric ton.


    The final contract price will be based on the LME Standard cash buyer
    prices of Aluminium & Steel one day after the contract letter of award
    date as follows :


       Contract price = Offer price + Adjustable price
       C=A+B
       Where C = Contract Price/ km
             A = Offer price/ km
             B = (B1 + B2)
               Where
               B1 = (LMEAluminum – 2500) * WAluminum / 1000
               B2 = (LMESteel – 000) * WSteel / 1000


LMEAluminum   = LME rate at time of settlement (Per Tonne) i.e. one day
               after letter of award date.

LMESteel       = LME rate at time of settlement (Per Tonne) i.e. one day
                after letter of award date.

               WAluminum    = Total weight of Aluminum in kg/km.
               WSteel       = Total weight of Steel in kg/km.


   - Maintenance period: - A guarantee (maintenance) period will
     be applied to each section of the works of fifteen months from
     the date of dispatch ex-works or twelve months from the date
     of setting to work whichever is earlier.

   - The Tenderer (except for the local Tenderer) has completed at
     least two Contracts for similar equipment outside his own
     country and at least five similar Contracts in his own country (
     and that of the main equipment manufactured ) in the last ten
     years with clear evidence.

   - The equipment (except the locally manufactured products )
     which is to be supplied, has been in successful commercial
     operation for at least three years in two different countries
     outside his own country and at least five locations in his own
     country (and that of the main equipment manufacturer ).
