Anniversary.

6. Motion to adopt the City of Palos Height Comprehensive Plan and the Parks and
Recreation Master Plan as prepared and presented by Houseal Lavigne Associates.

Mayor called for a Committee of the Whole Meeting on July 7 at 7:00 p.m. Purpose of
the meeting: Cook County Election Office will be present to answer questions in
regards to how the City’s revised ward map may have affected precinct boundaries or
polling places.

8. Motion to approve entering into an Agreement with Palos Bank and Trust for Remote
Deposit Capture Service, a Cash Management System. Approved
9. Motion to authorize Alderman Phillips to execute agreement with Palos Bank and
Trust. Approved
10. Motion to amend the City’s Personnel Manual by adding Section 2.17: Use of City
Vehicles Policy. Approved
11. Motion to amend the City’s Personnel Manual by adding Section 2.18: Fuel
Conservation Policy. Approved
12. Motion to approve amending the agreement between the City of Palos Heights and
the Palos Heights Currency Exchange to increase the fee collected for vehicle sticker
sales from $2.00 to $3.00, per the request of Frank Ryan, President. Approved

13. Motion to approve proposal from Brusseau Design Group, LLC for the
architectural/engineering fees for the construction of Walsh Westgate Park in an
amount not to exceed $19, 500. Approved
14. Motion to authorize advertising for bids for the construction of Walsh Westgate Park.

15. Motion to authorize the Mayor to request IDOT to award the Lake Katherine CMAQ
Bike Trail Project. Approved
16. Motion to approve holding the Palos Bank Southwest Half Marathon in the City of
Palos Heights next year on the first Sunday in May (May 3) 2009 at the same location
(Rt. 83). Approved

17. Motion to approve awarding the 2008 Road Program bid to Crowley-Shepard in the
amount of $487,317.25. Approved
License, Permits & Franchises: Chairperson Alderman McGrogan
18 Motion to approve request from the City’s Beautification Committee to place an A-
frame sign advertising the Farmer’s Market in the front of three (3) different
locations: Recreation Center, Palos Heights Library, and Palos Bank & Trust. The
signs would be placed out on Tuesday morning and removed on Wednesday at
approximately 1 p.m. every week through October 15, 2008. The signs are 2’2” wide
x 4’ 10” high. Approved
19 Motion to authorize the City Attorney to draft an Ordinance amending the City Code,
Chapter 100: Fire Code, Section 100.01 Fire Code Adopted, to include the same Fire
and Life Safety Codes that are currently being used by each of the two Fire Districts
serving the City of Palos Heights. Approved
20 Motion to authorize the City Attorney to draft an ordinance amending the City Code,
Chapter 115: Building Trades Licenses, Section 115.01 License Required, to include
Student Workers with the following provisions: license fee to be waived, proof of

student status required (i.e. school/college student I.D.), and proof of residence (i.e.
driver’s license). Withdrawn for further investigation
21 Motion to waive the rules and adopt ordinance amending the City Code, Chapter 115:
Building Trades Licenses, Section 115.01 License Required, to include Student
Workers with the following provisions: license fee to be waived, proof of student
status required (i.e. school/college student I.D.), and proof of residence (i.e. driver’s
license). Same as above - #20
