                    9th Annual Mini Golf Tourney
                            Report for 2009


Hello Lions, Lioness & friends:

This is my report on the 9th Annual Mini Golf fundraiser for our Lions Camp
Dorset! The weather was perfect in the big room at the Rec. Hall!

I must say that this tourney was just like the other 8! A great success!!
After the tally was completed! We made a profit for the camp of just over
$6,300.00! This is all due to the great support from the players, hole sponsors,
helpers and all those who gave prizes to help make the day!

Once again the meal was great with beef on a bun, veggies, chili, salads and
desert! In the kitchen where:
Kseniya “The Boss”
Zack “The Flipper”
Kyle “ The Go Around Guy”
Val “ The Pots & Pan Queen”
Bill “The Animal” Dennis!
On bar where Ashley & Skip! Hole-in one was covered by, Lion Paul!
The M.C. as in the past was Mark “The Announcer” Bryan!
And Last but not lest was the young Lady who put it all together on paper!
Christina “The Pen Maiden”

Now for the golf team winners:
1st place goes to The Port McNicoll Lions! Combined score for the day 198
Team members are John Leven, Maurice Roi, Tom Fisher and Dan Moreau.

2nd place goes to The Minden Lions/ Fire House team! Score for the day 199
Team members are Lion Al Manning, Todd Manning, John Platt and
Peter “The Gizmo” Giamos.

Most Honest was a challenge this year as there where two teams that took this
spot!
-Puslinch team consisting of Ray, Kerry, Emma & Ingrid Dennis! Score of 265
-Oro & District Lions team consisting of! Lion Ed & Cathy Graham, Gloria
Swinemar & Lion Lloyd Stockdale. Score of 265

This year we had twenty-five teams come out for the day! I am sorry to say
there where some teams that had to cancel last minute! But we hope to see
them back next year! As always the day is on the 3rd weekend in January! So
please check out the Camp website once in a while to find out what is

I must say a great big “Thank You” to Lou Moore who came out at the end of
the day to entertain us all with some great music! Lou plays and sang any
thing from Blue Grass to County and every thing in between! Lou has done
this for the last 9 years at no charge! Thanks Lou!

The beef we get at a “camp only price” from Silver Maple Farms in Breslau
Ont. And no one can even complain about the beef! Or the meal for that
matter!

In closing many thank to all who came out and played, those who supported
by donating prizes & cash for Hole sponsors! And our helpers for the day!
