 Implementation of Alternative
  Education in W-JCC: THE
          CHARGE
 “To begin deliberations during the week of
      July 1, 2007, in order to provide a
        comprehensive report—with
recommendations—for alternative education
 within W-JCC.” (Deadline: December 11,
                      2007)
    Alt-Ed Task Force Objectives
1. To explore the literature and research on
   alternative education clearly delineating the
   difference and/or relationship between that
   which is geared towards those students who
   need a different teaching and learning
   approach from that of the traditional classroom
   AND that which is meant for students who are
   removed from the regular school site for
   reasons of severe or chronic disciplinary
   infractions.

2. To reveal “best practices” for
  alternative education in both its forms,
  i.e., that for the non-traditional learner
  and that for the severe or chronic
  discipline case.

3. To suggest possible sources of multi-
  agency cooperation and funding for
  alternative education in both its forms.
