                                      Case Manager/Packager

Basic Function:

Assist CCA customers in accessing all appropriate services based on eligibility and needs.

Eligibility Requirements:

High School Diploma required; Associates preferred. Knowledge and understanding of various service
providers in the community is a must. Experience with direct customer service a must.

Valid drivers license, insurability, reliable transportation.

Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, clerical and computer skills.

Ability and motivation to work independently and without direct supervision as well as in a team and with
the general public.

Openness to learning new skills and technology as necessary; must participate in training as required.

Must demonstrate ability and willingness to participant with a team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shall interview (either in person or telephonically) applicants for CCA services, to determine needs and
eligibility for various programs, both internally and externally.

Shall package CCA and other community resources as appropriate for each applicant.

Shall utilize the Universal Referral System to refer customers to appropriate services outside of CCA.

Shall manage the Virtual One-Stop Employment services, making internet referrals to the Workforce
Investment services.

For any applicant to an energy or housing related service, shall perform initial eligibility screening and
package one or more energy or housing programs in the form of a referral to the appropriate program(s)
internally. Shall follow through on these referrals with the appropriate program representative to determine
to which among many possible pipelines the customer may flow and what additional documentation may
be required. Services to be packaged include Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), Assisted Home
Performance with Energy Star (AHPES), Home Performance with Energy Star (HPES), Weatherization
Network Initiative (WNI), HOME Rehabilitation or Disaster Relief Initiative (DRI). Shall thoroughly
communicate all options to the customer.

For HPES, AHPES, and WNI programs, shall perform a complete intake package, including income
verification, homeownership status, and grant/loan applications as required by the funding source(s).

Shall provide reception and intake services in support of the Customer Services Coordinator, as needed.

Shall assist with customer data entry into the Outcome Results Software (ORS) system.
Shall perform electric reduction inspections in the homes of previously weatherized clients for the
Weatherization Network Initiative and for customers in Niagara Mohawk's Affordability program. Duties
will include: scheduling, traveling, metering of appliances, energy saving calculations, data entry , client
education and workscope development / implementation.

Shall be responsible to comply with all funding source regulations, for creating a safe environment, and to
report any unsafe situations to the immediate supervisor.

Must be enthusiastic about promoting the mission of CCA, be willing to work towards the good of the
entire agency, and to act as an ambassador of CCA throughout the community.

Shall perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
