    COURSE DESCRIPTION


    Reviews basic math skills, covers basic Algebra topics.

    Required successful completion of Algebra A. Reviews basic
    math skills and finishes algebra topics started in Algebra A.
    Recommended Passing 4 quarters Algebra I. Basic Geometry
    topics w/ review of Algebra. (Same credit as Geometry CP) Will
    NOT advance to Algebra II.
    Recommended Algebra I with C or better. A more in depth
    coverage of Geometry. (Same credit as Geometry) Prepares
    students for Algebra II.


    Recommended Geometry. An Introduction to quantitative skills
    needed to make decisions4based on numbers. 1. This is to help
    Recommended passing quarters of Algebra
    reinforce the basic mathematic concepts. This can count as a
    semester of the third year of the mathematic requirement. The
    standards taught include arithmatic, algebraic reasoning, basic
    geometry concepts, and fundamental statistics. This is an

    Recommended Algebra I & Geometry CP or Jr. High Geometry
    with C or better. Covers basic Algebra II skills.
    Recommended Algebra I & Geometry CP or Jr. High Geometry
    with B or better. This is a rigorous course designed to prepare
    students for Pre-calculus and AP Calculus.

    Recommended Algebra II with B or better or Honors Algebra II
    with C or better. Covers the basics skills in college algebra.
    Recommended Algebra II Honors with B or better. A rigorous
    course covering Trig and Algebra skills needed for AP Stats or AP
    Calculus.

    Recommended Pre-calculus with B or better. Preparation for
    AP test. Covers one semester of college calculus.
    Recommended Honors Algebra II, Precalculus, or Calculus
    with B or better. Preparation for AP test. Analyze statistical data
    with graphing calculator.
    College Algebra (QL) - Rigorous, compacted course. 4 USU
    credits. Students must have an ACT score of 23 or better,
    Accuplacer test with Math 1050 placement, or Math 1010 passed
    with a C- or better.
    Tutored study group with a math teacher. Student must be enrolled
    in Pre-Calculus or Calculus and have approval from previous
    math teacher.
AR MATH BY COLLEGES
    Do you like money? Are you thinking of owning your own
    business? This is the class for you. Basic elements and concepts
    of double-entry accounting for business & personal use will be
    covered including procedures for handling cash and financial
    reports. This class will either fill love Accountingrequirement or .5 of
    If you liked Accounting 1, you'll .5 of your CTE II. More use of the
    computer and actual source documents. Some additional concepts
    will be covered such as uncollectible accounts and payroll. We will
    use the textbook automated accounting program, Excel, and
    possibly Quicken and QuickBooks, depending on time. This class
    will either fill .5 of your CTE requirement or .5 of your third math
    Introduction to Visual Basic.NET Programming, graphics and other
    computer applications. Understanding of computer design and
    computer applications.
    Reviews and builds on concepts from 1A. Introduces students to
    object-oriented programming, dynamic data allocation, and other
    skills. Covers either Java or C++.
