Reading- We will be reading “Satchmo’s Blues” by Alan Schroeder. The genre is informational narrative. Young Louis Armstrong longs to play a horn, but his family has no money for such things. So he decides to earn money himself. The skill will be fact and opinion. A fact is information that you can prove to be true or false. An opinion expresses a thought or a feeling about something, and you cannot prove it to be right or wrong. A supported inference is a conclusion that you draw based on factual evidence.
