June 2009 Training Schedule for Wiley InterScience
Wiley-Blackwell is pleased to invite you to our free instructor-led online training
sessions to learn how to make the most of our products and services. All you need is
an internet connection and, in most cases, access to a telephone*.
These sessions are conducted using a product called WebEx that allows you to view
live presentations from your desktop. For most sessions there will be an associated
teleconference so you can hear the presentation and ask questions. Wiley-
Blackwell will provide a toll free telephone number to dial in.
*The three sessions marked with an * will be conducted using Integrated VoIP for the
audio component. For these sessions you will not need a separate telephone line.
To register, click on the title of the session you would like to attend. Book as soon as
possible to ensure a place. To be placed on a waiting list or to arrange a private
session for your institution please contact Caroll Mitchell.

Forthcoming events include

Medical Evidence Matters

A new resource hosted by Proquest, Medical Evidence Matters allows you to assess
therapy options for known medical conditions by comparing outcomes from the peer-
reviewed literature. Medical Evidence Matters supports researchers, clinicians,
librarians, and decision-makers in finding the best evidence for medical decisions.

The training will take place on the following dates:

Friday, 29th May 2009, 11am-12.15pm
Wednesday, 10th June 2009, 5-6.15pm
Tuesday, 23rd June 2009, 11am-12.15pm

Proquest Medical:

ProQuest provides a gateway to the Medical Library, Nursing Journals and
Psychology Journals and through these resources, access to over 1000 full-text
journals.

Thursday, 18th June 2009, 10-11.15am
Wednesday, 15th July 2009, 10-11.15am

ASSIA: Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts on the Web is an indexing and
abstracting tool covering health, social services, psychology, sociology, economics,
politics, race relations and education.

There are also a range of sessions on OVID, Cochrane Library and some new dates
have been added to the Refworks sessions.

Proquest have given us gratis access to their Proquest Hospital collection which
includes the following collections:

ProQuest Family Health
Find complete, full-text information from covering numerous aspects of family health
from sports injuries to women's health, from food and nutrition to midwifery, from eye
care to dentistry.

ProQuest Health and Medical Complete
Designed to serve a wide range of people who need health information -- from
hospital administrators to medical professionals to consumers. The database
provides coverage from leading health journals and essential medical journals in key
medical specialties

ProQuest Health Management
Find complete, full-text information from leading publications covering all aspects of
health administration, including public health and safety, hospitals, finance, personnel
management, insurance, population studies, labor relations and law.

There will be some overlap with the current journal collection but the addition of the
PQ Hospital collection will provide some added journal content for the duration of the
gratis period which should be until the end of the financial year (March 2010)
