                                              need to help themselves improve, especially, since it
                                              involves planning and working hard. Of course, it

that you would like to accomplish throughout the year. Include things that will require work to get
done, but also things that are fun like a vacation. By keeping a list you will be able to see all the
goals you have for the year which will help you keep it in focus to help get it all done.

in fields where you always need to be up-to-date - please don't just throw your old technology
away. Take it to a place that offers proper disposal. We don't need anymore harmful chemical
leakages in landfills from old decomposing machines. You will feel much better if you do your
part to care for our environment.

Seeking a mentor is a great step to improving your self-esteem, as well as in gaining the wisdom
you will need to face life's difficult situations. Think about the people in your life, and approach
someone you truly respect. Meet with them for lunch or dinner once a week or even once a
month. Try to learn from their experience and gain wisdom from them.

A great way to develop yourself is to try experimenting as much as you can. Don't be one of those
people who watches things happen; make things happen! Experimenting with different ideas
allows you to come up with better ones! Once you have come up with these better ideas, you can
apply them to achieve a higher quality in whatever you are doing.

See the humor in things. Lighten up and laugh when you can. Laughter is the best medicine for a
reason; not only can it relieve stress, but it can also improve social status. People are drawn to
others that are fun to be around and when people are drawn to you, you can't help but feel on top
of the world.

Make gradual changes. When you want to change, it can be tempting to jump into a new way of
life. But many times when you take a big leap like that, you end up falling back into your old
ways. Take your time and gradually ease into new things. Chances are,you will adopt the new
lifestyle altogether.
If you want to better yourself, you should aim to always be humble. Avoid being arrogant because
when you are arrogant, you are close-minded about anything new. Humility means that you are
proud of your accomplishments, but you always give credit where it is due, and you always keep
your mind open. Being open-minded is the key to improving yourself.

When it comes to personal development, make sure that you follow your dreams and make them
a critical goal in your life. This is important because doing so, will take an idea and make it
something concrete that you will work toward and hopefully, accomplish one day. Without
dreams, you do not have goals and without goals, you are not growing.

Be your best. Regardless of what you do, do it right the first time and every time. Whether you are
taking out the trash or closing a multi-million dollar real estate deal, your best effort is required.
When you give only your best to every endeavor you are showing yourself what you can
accomplish.

Be careful if you are consuming too much alcohol. You may think that it is helping you unwind but
it really does not help with anxiety and stress. In many cases, drinking any kind of alcohol, will
increase the feelings of anxiety and depression and should be avoided when those negative
feelings are present.

Reduce the amount of stress in your life by eating right. Avoid the usual junk food, which can
actually lead to stress by making you feel guilty. Eat a balanced, healthy diet every day and it will
actually fight stress. You will look better, and more importantly, you will feel better.

Over the course of our lives, our goals naturally change. Achieving those goals, however, can
take us down a road that we never thought we would be traveling. This article might better
prepare us for the changes, when the path forks and we have to make a choice.
