							                The Birmingham Principal Shopping District
      has an exciting opportunity for retailers and service businesses!

          Fashion’s Night Out--Friday, September 10, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
“Fashion’s Night Out (FNO- www.fashionsnightout.com ) is a global initiative created to celebrate
fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy, and put the fun back in shopping.
For one night last September, in New York City and twelve other cities around the world, designers,
celebrities, models, and fashion editors staged exciting, one-of-a-kind events in stores open after-hours
to the public. NYC retailers saw a surge of new shoppers and increased sales, while customers relished
the street-party atmosphere.”

This year they are opening FNO up to retailers and shopping districts around the world. Typically, the
registration fee is $250 per store. However, The Birmingham PSD has received permission from FNO
organizers to be the sole registrant for all stores in the district.

Who Can Participate
This event is open to all retail and service stores in Birmingham, including:
       -Apparel and Accessories stores         -Jewelers             -Gift stores
       -Home furnishings        -Spas and Salons       -Just about any store that identifies with fashion.

What you will Receive
Once you register, you will receive the rights to the Fashion’s Night Out Logo for use in your store and
on promotional materials. You will be part of all publicity and advertising created by the Principal
Shopping District in support of this event.

What You Need to do to Participate Successfully
   Host an in-store event. Customer appreciation, trunk shows, host manufacturer reps,
     demonstrations, classes, wine and cheese, hors d’oeuvres, etc.
   Tell your customers on Facebook, email blast, direct mail, phone call, whatever you need to do!

What The PSD Will Do to Support this Event
   Promote the event through local news media, advertising, online, social media and just about any
     other way we can get the word out.
   Provide an approved identifier decoration for your window or door featuring the FNO logo.

All you have to do is complete Birmingham FNO registration form, and provide a proof of
insurance certificate naming Fashion’s Night Out and the Principal Shopping District additional insured for

Send all information and proof of insurance to the PSD office by Friday, June 11. Hand

Program Description *
   Please describe your plans for the evening. Consumers will see this information exactly as you enter it. Make
   sure you enter some language here even if you don't know exactly what your plans are yet (i.e. write "event
   details pending") as you can edit this up until 6 PM on September 7th.




   For press and iPhone application purposes, please specify timeframes for activities within your store during the 6pm-
   11pm event if applicable. (ie. 6-7 designer appearance, 7-8 photo exhibit)
