                                      2010 Auction: Oscar Night

Welcome Letters
Welcome,

Have you ever wanted to go to The Oscars? This is your opportunity. Welcome to one of our most
exciting evenings of the year - our Annual Auction. This year, we bring the glamour of Hollywood to our
school! Our evening is the culmination of the hard work of so many people under the guidance of our
chairs: LuAnn Aycock and Tina Winchip. To everyone, we are prayerfully thankful.

As you proceed to purchase and bid on items tonight, remember that the monetary profits come directly
to our school. How exciting! Our Vision is becoming a reality - and soon!

We have many supporters that help make our auction so successful. They range from our Corporate
Sponsors, donors of food and items for our raffles, as well as our Pennies From Heaven sponsors. Be sure
to thank these businesses with your support.

We are ready to celebrate and enjoy a wonderful evening. May God bless you for your support not only
tonight, but every day.

Many blessings,
Barbara Cole

Dear SJN Families and Friends:

Imagine: glitz and glamour, the flash of cameras, people screaming your name, walking the red carpet,
looking fabulous…..It’s Oscar Night! Welcome and thank you for your support of the 21st Annual Auction!

Over the years technology and imagination have changed the way movies are made and how we experience
them. Education has also gone through dramatic changes in how technology is used to enhance the
education experience and how students can experience learning. Two things that you can count on as
constants, however: the dedication to our children’s education and the supportive environment provided
by St. John Neumann and its wonderful faculty.

Believe it or not, this process began shortly after last year's auction ended. We couldn't have
accomplished everything involved in this exciting Oscar Night without the hard work and dedication of
our committee members and families. We thank you all! We hope you will join us in thanking our many
Corporate Sponsors and donors of auction items as listed in the catalog. Be sure to tell them how much we
value their loyalty to our school.

Please enjoy your walk down tonight's Red Carpet, and let the bidding begin!

Sincerely,

Tina Winchip LuAnn Aycock

Corporate Sponsors – You Deserve an Oscar!
Thank you to all of our extremely generous corporate sponsors this year, especially in light of
another economically challenging year. Your support is crucial to the success of our biggest
fundraiser, the proceeds of which go directly to school programs and facilities for the benefit
of the children of St. John Neumann.

The Oscar Night Auction – Ticket Parties

  Ticket Parties
Ticket Parties are in their fourth year of being offered at the annual auction. They are
a great way to spend some time with other SJN families. Spaces for the events are
limited and sell out quickly, so look for the tables selling tickets at the silent auction
and be sure to sign up. We have a variety of parties this year to appeal to all of our
  families:

Ladies Spa Night Out – April 30, 2011 – Join the SJN Ladies for Well Deserved
Relaxation at a cool new Spa, OCCO.
Mother Son Mayhem at the Plex – January 23, 2011 – Have some fun and enjoy some
time with your son while enjoying crazy games and winning prizes.
Father Daughter Dance – February 26, 2011 - Fathers and Daughters Get Together for
  Some “Saturday Night Fever!”
Redneck Roast – April 9, 2011 – Join Us on the front porch couch and look for a
  commode in the yard!
Ugly Sweater Party – December 17, 2010 – Wear your ugliest Christmas Sweater and
enjoy a couples evening without the kids!

                                  Ladies Spa Night Out!

Feeling the need for a little pampering and rejuvenation?
We have just the thing for you!

Be one of thirty lucky ladies to win a mini-spa get away, right here in Columbia, at the
beautiful, brand new OCCO skin studio. The fun begins with you being wisked away from the
SJN parking lot and escorted down to the Vista with your group of lovely ladies.

Once at OCCO, you'll be treated to champagne, wine and hors d' oeuvres as you enjoy some down
time with your friends in the breathtaking courtyard complete with calming fountain. Inside,
each of you will experience the ultimate in relaxation with a manicure and stress relieving
chair massage. Be sure to take a few minutes to tour OCCO and take advantage of the special
offers and discounts being offered to our group.

The evening will end with you being safely transported back to the SJN parking lot, happy and
relaxed!
