Ashley Industrial Molding, Inc, a leading manufacturer of quality custom molded and
painted plastic products and assemblies, has an immediate opportunity for an
Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator (EHS) Coordinator for our multiple
manufacturing facilities.

Position Summary

The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all programs and activities
associated with employee safety and health, and environmental regulatory compliance
and will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities include providing professional guidance to management and staff on
issues related to employee safety and health, as well as coordinating all interaction with
outside resources in conjunction with current policies and practices. This position is also
responsible for implementing and or auditing all EHS regulatory programs within each
facility to ensure maximum safety and environmental compliance.

Essential Functions

      Improve safety performance by continuously increasing a level of awareness in
       the workplace. Ensure adherence of all employees to the Health and Safety
       standards, policies, procedures, and programs in a manner that enthusiastically
       promotes a safe working environment for all employees.

      Evaluate, develop, implement, promote and continuously improve the
       effectiveness of facility Health and Safety procedures and programs, and integrate
       such concepts into all applicable aspects of operations.

      Actively drive the safety committee that consists of management personnel and
       hourly employees for performance improvements.

      Evaluate, develop, implement and continuously improve the necessary training
       programs and systems to ensure compliance with Federal , State, and Company

      Provide Health and Safety analyses of new equipment and process changes.
       Complete reviews to assure that all capital projects are compliant with all
       regulatory and company requirements.

      Conducts accident investigation and provides recommendation to prevent
       reoccurrence and provides information to top management on accidents, causes,
       and costs and recommends long-range accident reduction and cost containment
      Serve as a company representative during facility inspections and develop
       necessary relationship with government agencies in order to build the company’s
       reputation as an upstanding corporate member of the local communities.

      Coordinate and provide support for environmental activities with outside


Position requires three or more years of safety and environmental management
responsibility in a manufacturing setting with a strong background in regulatory
compliance, ergonomics, machine guarding, and medical case management.

Relationship building skills and customer service orientation (“how can I help you”
attitude), effective communication, training, and presentation skills, ability to manage
multiple projects and demands effectively, detail oriented, and follow through skills.
Technical aptitude, analytical, and problem solving skills are required for success.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
required. Experience in a multi-site manufacturing company beneficial but not required.
Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related discipline
