 Connectivity provider D-Link announced on Wednesday its ADSL2+
Modem with Wireless N300 Router (DSL-2740B), allowing ADSL subscribers
to upgrade their existing Wireless G device to a high-performance
integrated modem and Wireless N router.



 According to the company, the router is backward compatible with
existing 802.11b and 802.11g devices and offers several speed and
security enhancements to its predecessor IPv4, including Quality of
Service (QoS) support.



 The product also features TR-069 Management support, customisable
to individual service provider management needs. In addition, for added
security support, the router offers Stateful Packet Inspection See stateful inspection. (SPI) and
hacker attach logging, inspecting the contents of incoming packets
before they are given access and protecting a network against Denial of
Service A condition in which a system can no longer respond to normal requests. See denial of
service attack. (DoS) attacks.



Additional features include: Internet transmission of up to 24Mb/s
downstream, 3.5Mb/s upstream; WPA/WPA2 and WEP data encryption methods;
as well as four fast Ethernet ports to connect Ethernet-enabled devices.
