Mass communications is a good career choice because it is a diverse career packed with many

jobs and opportunities. I however have found broadcasting to be the most appealing to me in the mass

communications department. Mass communications is a vital part of every individual’s life in one way or

another. Therefore it is an honor to take part in its growth. In this paper I hope to identify the

knowledge, skills and abilities needed to find success in the competitive field of broadcasting.
