Sanitation) sector in Bangladesh announces vacancies for immediate appointment as regular
and project personnel

Sr. Information Officer (Dhaka Based)
Masters in English, Mass Communication & Journalism, International Relations, Sociology
or relevant discipline with 6 years experience in national or international organizations.
Capable in planning, writing & editing of the Forum’s Information & Advocacy publications
i,e. annual report, newsletter, brochure, booklet and different analytical reports with
processing of relevant information. Expertise in organizing and conducting various
interpersonal events. Ability to take networking initiatives and maintain collaboration with
the legislators, govt. administration, UN- bodies, mass-media, NGOs, private sector, civil
society and other relevant bodies. Willing to make field visits for conducting various case
studies, situation analysis, etc. Skill in Microsoft Office Applications including Internet. Age-
Maximum 35 years. Monthly Salary: Negotiable.

Documentation Officer (Dhaka Based)
Masters in English, Mass Communication & Journalism, Sociology, IR or relevant discipline
with 4 years experience in National and international organizations. Expertise in
documentation through PRA, progress reporting, and guiding print & audio- visual
documentations of different interpersonal events. Capacity to write articles, analytical reports,
etc as part of the Forum’s Information & Advocacy services. Document, analyze and
disseminate relevant information publishing bulletin, newsletter, booklet, etc. Skill in
Microsoft Office Applications including Internet. Age- Maximum 35 years. Monthly
Consolidated Salary: Tk. 22,000/-.

Resource Centre Development Officer (Dhaka Based)
Masters       in      English/Mass       Communication         &       Journalism/International
Relations/Environmental Science or any discipline of social science from reputed universities
with 4 years work experience in national and international          organizations. Expertise in
writing analytical reports, articles, case studies, etc. on different programme aspects.
Document, analyze and disseminate relevant information through various publications and
website. Ability to undertake initiatives for establishing collaborative network with national
and international stakeholders. Skill in Microsoft Office Applications alongside internet. Age
– Maximum 35 years. Monthly Consolidated Salary: Tk. 20,000.

Field Engineer (Field based) Diploma in Civil Engineering from any recognized Poly-
technique institute with 5 years relevant experience in the development sector which 3 years
in WatSan. The main responsibility of the position is to provide technical support for smooth
functioning and installation including training of the field level water and sanitation
technologies. Must have ability to prepare technical report and facilitate promotional
activities in the project area. Must have sound health and motorcycle driving skill with valid
license. Age- Maximum 35 years. Monthly Consolidated Salary: Tk. 10,000/-.

Project : Integrated Water & Sanitation Program for Disadvantaged off-shore Island
People in the Costal Belt (IWSPOIP-C)
Advocacy Officer (Dhaka based)
Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication/Public Admin/IR or any discipline of social
sciences with 4 years work experience in the relevant field of advocacy & networking at
national level. Capable to facilitate the process of policy development involving the policy-
makers & civil society through advocacy is a must. The incumbent will be responsible for
developing partnerships and networking with mass media and other civil society groups to
generate support in framing public opinion in of the sector. S/he would make field visit to
conduct advocacy & campaign activities at grassroots level. Age- Maximum 35 years.
Monthly Consolidated Salary: Tk. 20,000/-.

Logistics Officer - (Dhaka based)
Diploma in Electrical , Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with minimum 5 years
experience in the relevant field. The incumbent would be responsible for purchasing
materials and equipments and to look after the utility services (Electricity/Gas/Water
Supply/Telephone etc.), supervise the maintenance and repairing of lift, generator and vehicle
including others office equipments. Computer literacy and driving skill with valid license is
essential. Age- maximum 35 years. Monthly Consolidated Salary: Tk. 12,000/-.

Project : Community Managed Water and Sanitation Program for Chittagong Hill
Tracks (CMWSP)

Project Engineer: (Dhaka based)
B.Sc in Civil Engineering with 5 years relevant experience in Water and Sanitation Sector.
Experience in hilly area will be preferred. Ideal candidates should have ability to provide
technical support in implementing WatSan related technical options, knowledge in
environmental hygiene issues with sound health and willingness to visit field frequently.
Age- Maximum 35 years. Monthly Consolidated Salary: Tk. 20,000/-.

Candidates will be appointed on probation for one year except project staff. Based on the
performance during probation, service may be confirmed as per service rules of NGO Forum.
