MESA VERDE COUNTRY CLUB, COSTA MESA, CA GENERAL MANAGER/COO
Since its establishment in 1959, Mesa Verde Country Club has been a family-oriented club that has taken great
pride in promoting leisure and competitive sports activities and pleasant social interaction for its members, their
families, and guests by providing outstanding golf, tennis, swim, social, and dining programs. Members,
however, consider MVCC much more than a fine private club that offers great programs. When asked what their
membership means to them, those who joined long ago or more recently give similar responses. It's a sense of
belonging to a small community. It's coming together with family members and a circle of friends. It's a source
of pride and a spirit of good fellowship. In a word, it's a lifestyle. And what do they most enjoy? The
camaraderie! Mesa Verde Country Club proudly features what has been called one of Southern California's most
challenging championship golf courses. Combined with a complete tennis facility and heated pool, Mesa Verde
is the essence of the country club experience. Centrally located in the heart of Orange County, this prestigious
private member-owned club is truly complete with a beautiful clubhouse offering excellent dining opportunities
and an expansive banquet facility. Mesa Verde has been the site of more professional tour events than any other
course in Orange County. Winners of the five PGA tour events staged here include Billy Casper and
"Champagne" Tony Lema who had his first PGA Tour win at MVCC. Nancy Lopez won two of the six LPGA
tournaments. The club also hosted the inaugural Toshiba Senior Classic and the USGA Girls' Junior Amateur
Championship. The membership of 600 families enjoys year round activities and strong junior golf and tennis
programs at the club. The gross dollar volume of the club is $7.8 million dollars with food & beverage revenues
of $2 million.
