							                            Safety Group General Meeting
                                 September 20, 2007
                                     MINUTES

1. Introduction – Derek Petrie welcomed the members of the ISCA Safety Group and
outlined the agenda for the afternoon.

Derek then outlined the spot-check process and indicated that there were a few areas that
the safety group needed to focus on for improvement. The overall reported score was
95.16% and a verified score of 89.69% based on the spot-checks.
Derek indicated that starting next year we will have very specific guidelines from WSIB
from which to focus our programs.

2. ISCA Report Card - Michele Holmes reviewed the final 2006 ISCA report card from
WSIB. The report card was encouraging with respect to lost time injury frequency and
severity rates. “These are very positive results”, she added.

The final 2006 report card will be posted on the website by Derek.
Michelle then reviewed an interim 2007 report card based on only six months worth of
data.

3. Program Updates - Michelle reviewed the program with safety group members. She
also went through 2008 program improvements. All of the information reviewed will be
posted on the website.

4. 5+ Year Program Details – Michelle reviewed the details of the WSIB program that
is designed for companies that have been in ISCA Safety Group for five years. These
companies will remain in the ISCA Safety Group and must conduct a gap analysis and
shape their program to meet the 2008 Element Program Requirements. The details of this
program will also be posted on the website for those companies completing their 5th year
on the program.

5. Maintenance of Elements – Michelle walked the Safety Group through an exercise
outlining the process to follow in navigating through the five steps: Set the Standard;
Communicate; Provide Training; Evaluation; and Acknowledgement.

6. Complete Progress Reports – The Safety Group worked on completing their #2
progress reports and handed them into Derek.

7. CSAO Trailer – The group took turns going through the CSAO Safety Trailer to view
material aids and watch a video safety practices.

8. Review Standards in Binders – Under the guidance of Derek, Harry and Kim, the
group reviewed the standards in the binders to ensure all members are compliant.
