                                  Golf Course Manager
                                   Part-Time Seasonal
General Description of Duties
This position is responsible for managing a municipally owned, 9-hole golf course.

Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the City Administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities
 Oversees general operations of clubhouse
   Oversees general maintenance of equipment and coordinates with Public Works
    Supervisor to schedule necessary repairs
   Oversees general maintenance of grounds and coordinates with golf course grounds
    crew any necessary maintenance
   Establish budget for course
   Maintain full and complete records
   Register green fees
   Record golf membership registration
   Register golf cart storage and trail fees
   Register locker rental fees
   Handling & reporting of funds, including but not limited to:
    1.   Golf equipment sales;
    2.   Rental of golf cars, golf clubs and pull carts;
    3.   Daily bank deposits; Submit deposit tickets to City Clerk; and
    4.   All cash sales.

   Order golf supplies and equipment
   Order concessions (pop, candy, beer, etc.)
   Deliver invoices to clerk at month-end. Invoices from companies offering discounts
    may need to be paid upon receipt of invoice
   Cleaning: Clubhouse, deck area, locker room, restrooms, and golf car storage area
   Assist in the hiring and selection of additional clubhouse employees
   Assist women’s and men’s clubs with their activities
   Meet regularly with club presidents for monthly planning

Marketing and Public Relations
   Encourage and support the game of golf for all age groups
   Present and direct staff to provide a quality golf experience to the public
   Develop and implement a plan to advertise and promote the Blackduck Golf Course
   Assist Management of groups who are organizing and running tournaments
   Manage Tournaments as necessary
