Report for Activity Ending September 25th, 2009
Honorable Elected Officials of the United States:
We extend thanks to you on behalf of your constituents for taking the time to view their input on issues that are important to them. These messages have been compiled by @2gov and presented in the enclosed report for your consideration. @2gov is a communication portal designed by Votizen, the voter network. @2gov serves as a single address to reach all elected officials utilizing the social media outlet of Twitter. This is just our second week in operation, and yet the response to our service has been overwhelmingly positive. This week a new issue vaulted to the top of the list of those using the @2gov service: the “Startup Visa”. Briefly stated, the proponents are calling for a revision of the Immigration Laws to set aside a class of visa (or modification of a current visa) to allow for those who start companies to work legally in the United States. More information on the topic can be found at http://www.startupvisa.com. Support for this proposal ran at 98% of all respondents. Our goal is to give your constituents a simple and meaningful way to communicate with you, and to make this communication easy for you to process. We are here to ensure that @2gov is a valuable tool -- feel free to provide your input at this early stage of our existence so that we can expand and develop to reach the full capabilities this service can offer. Sincerely,
Contact: DAVID BINETTI Phone: 415/935-4059 Email: david.binetti@votizen.com Twitter SN: @2gov URL: http://2gov.org
