NOBLEFORD SOCCER SOCIETY.
The NOBLEFORD SOCCER SOCIETY will partner with the Village of Nobleford, area residence,
as well as other groups and agencies to act as a catalyst to champion the construction and
maintenance of Soccer pitches in the Nobleford parks and recreation areas and foster soccer
related activities in Nobleford, Alberta. The Society will fund raise, apply for grants and organize
volunteers for various projects in Nobleford.
The Nobleford Community Complex Society is currently seeking commitments for capital funding
for a major $100,000 upgrade to the Nobleford Soccer Field Area. The project success depends
on partnerships between the Village, Soccer Society, Palliser Schools and you, the County Of
Lethbridge. Over 175 youth from the Nobleford area are currently participating in the soccer
program. More than 70% are from the County of Lethbridge.
The Village has of Nobleford as approved the use of the 2 acres of land required for the
expansion of the soccer fields. They have also offer equipment, labor and administration to assist
us in this project. The Village will also assist in maintaining the site.
The Capital costs of this improvement include: removal of fencing, tilling the soil, level the land,
install underground sprinkle system, auxiliary water pumps, electrical service, a washroom with
utility room, bleachers, a wind fence, seed with grass. We anticipate starting this project by July
2009 and complete the project in time for the 2010 soccer season.
The Nobleford Soccer Society will be applying for a $50,000 Community Initiatives Program grant
( CIP) to help fund the program. An additional $50,000 is needed to match this grant. The County
of Lethbridge has commmited $15,000 to the project. We will be asking the Village of Nobleford
and other corporate organizations for donations to support this valuable project that improved the
lives of the County and Village residents. This project requires a significant amount of volunteer
time committed to planning and labor.
