The following are available NOW for this school year. You should inquire and/or
apply using the on-line application on the Scholarship Donor’s website or by the
application in the Scholarship Drawer (if available), Main Guidance – Room 2112.
Indian Ponds Association – Edward Schwarm Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors who are residents of Marstons Mills and who
are planning on attending college.
How to Apply: Applications are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main Guidance – Room
2112.
Amount of Award: One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1000.
Deadline: April 1, 2008
The Rebekah Assembly of Massachusetts Memorial Scholarship – The Independent Order of Odd
Fellows
Criteria: This scholarship is open to qualified seniors who plan to further their education by
attending a two to four year college program.
How to Apply: Applications are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main Guidance – Room
2112.
Amount of Award: Scholarships of $500 will be awarded to qualified seniors.
Deadline: March 15, 2008
The Arc of Cape Cod – Lorraine O’Neil Scholarship Fund
Criteria: Applicants must be Barnstable County residents who are pursuing a career as a
teacher, therapist or a related field focused on helping children or adults who have
developmental disabilities.
How to Apply: Applications are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main Guidance – Room
2112.
Amount of Award: Not noted on the application.
Deadline: April 1, 2008
Massachusetts Broadcasters Association – Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program
Criteria: Applicants are students that will pursue an education in over-the-air broadcast
journalism in the 2008-2009 academic year at an accredited two year or four year school.
How to Apply: Applications and information are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main
Guidance – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: Four $2000 scholarships will be awarded to Bay State residents.
Deadline: No later than April 4, 2008.
Harriet M. Faunce Trust Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must be graduating seniors of public or private high school, who are
residents of the towns of Bourne, Sandwich, or Barnstable. They must be planning to attend
college in the fall after their high school graduation.
How to Apply: Applications and information are in the Scholarship Drawer in Main Guidance –
Room 2112.
Amount of Award: One or two scholarships may be awarded at $2000 each.
Deadline: April 15, 2008
Cape and Island Farm Bureau Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must reside in the Cape and Island Farm Bureau District. The applicant
must be enrolled as a full time student in the fall of the year that the scholarship was
awarded and must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited agricultural program.
How to Apply: Applications and information are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main
Guidance – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: Not noted on the application.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2008.
Cape and Island Farm Bureau Toolship Application
Criteria: Applicants must be a member in good standing of the Cape and Islands Farm Bureau.
They must reside in the Cape and Islands Farm Bureau district.

Guidance – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: Not noted on the application.
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2008.
Gary Philbrick Memorial Golf Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants can be men or women who live on Cape Cod and the Islands who are
enrolled or will be enrolling in college for a career in golf. The scholarship is merit and need
based. Applicants must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 and interviews are required.
How to Apply: Applications and information are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main
Guidance – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: Not noted on the application.
Deadline: May 31, 2008.
Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation
Criteria: Any high school students from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are eligible.
The scholarship is not academically based, but is awarded on the basis of need. In addition,
the committee will give more serious consideration to those students who have made efforts
to make a difference in their communities and/or have shown leadership qualities within their
school.
How to Apply: Applications and information are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main
Guidance – Room 2112.
Amount of Award: They will provide for selected recipients annual grants ranging from
$1000 to $5000 to be used as specifically requested for school tuition, summer programs and
other appropriate extracurricular activities.
Deadline: Applications are asked to be returned prior to February 1, 2008.
Scholarships offered by colleges and
others:
1. Massachusetts Automobile Dealers Automotive Technician Scholarship Program –
High school graduates entering or currently enrolled in an automotive program at Mass
Bay Community College, Springfield Technical Community College, Middlesex Community
College, Hudson Valley Community College and New Hampshire Community Technical
College. Your program should be supported by an auto manufacturer and includes a co-op
component. Each year 17 scholarships worth as much as $6000 total and four full
scholarships (full tuition and fees) are awarded. Complete information and applications
are available in the Scholarship Drawer in Main Guidance – Room 2112.
2. Monsanto Company – Available in 2008 for youth pursuing careers in agriculture.
Information is available online at www.nafb.com and www.monsanto.com. Online application
submission deadline is February 15, 2008.
