PARKING (SUMMER 2012; 7/24/12 notice)
Dear Mesa Community,
To enable construction crews to complete projects and to provide enhanced access to students,
we have developed the following approach for parking and access to student services effective
tomorrow through Aug. 17.
Lot 1 will be reserved for faculty, staff and disabled only. This parking area will be restricted
and monitored for enforcement. Students will be directed via signage to park in the Parking
Structure. Lots 2 and 3 will be closed for construction. The east side of Mesa College Circle will
be closed at Armstrong Street.
FREE Student Shuttle Service
Effective tomorrow morning, July 25, 2012, the college will have shuttle service from the
Parking Structure on Mesa College Drive to the I300 and Modular Village. The shuttle will run
Monday thru Thursday, from 7am to 6:15pm. The last shuttle will leave the Modular Village at
The shuttle service will have 3 stops:
· Stop 1:Mesa Parking Structure, Q-100
· Stop 2: I-300 Building
· Stop 3: Modular Village
Students may also access upper and lower campus by foot. We have designated pathways from
the parking structure leading to the stairs and switchback on the south side of Modular Village,
as well as I-300 (elevator and stairs). Signage has been developed to guide students along the
way. Please note, I -300 access will be closed from 3:00 to 8:00 pm each day with no access for
staff, faculty or students. Disabled students will need to contact 388-2780 or police dispatch at
619 388-6405 if they need further assistance after 3:00pm.
In addition to signage, students will be notified via facebook, department notifications, handouts,
parking website, etc. Please check the parking website frequently (www.sdmesa.edu/parking) as
we will be updating with any changes due to construction operations.
