MINUTES OF THE WORKING SESSION OF THE MAYOR AND BOROUGH
COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF AUDUBON PARK, IN THE COUNTY OF
CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY, HELD MARCH 19, 2012 IN THE MUNICIPAL
BUILDING AT 7:00 PM.
A regular meeting of the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Audubon Park
was convened in the Municipal Building, 20 Road C, 2nd Floor, Audubon Park, NJ on
Monday, March 19, 2012, at 7:00 PM.
Mayor Pennock requested all stand for the flag salute.
Mayor Pennock announced that Chapter 231, Public Law 1975 requires adequate notice
of this meeting be provided. This was done by placing Annual Notice in the Courier-Post
and Retrospect Newspapers and by posting on the bulletin board in the Municipal
Building.
ROLL CALL: Councilman Beeman, Councilman Delengowski, Councilwoman Hook,
Councilwoman Lewis, and Councilman Passon. Councilwoman Jones
was absent (excused)
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AT 7 PM:
Judy Vanrell, 6 Nightingale Road – Ms. Vanrell inquired as to the negotiated price of
tipping fees.
Mayor Pennock explained to Ms. Vanrell that when Camden County went out to bid for
tipping
fees, they did not receive any responses. The County will be revising the bid document
and going
out to bid a second time.

ORDINANCES:
RESOLUTIONS
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
The President of the Board of Trustees, Denise Balderama introduced the members of the
Board.
The following issues were discussed during the coordinating meeting with the Audubon
Mutual Housing Corporation Board of Trustees:
Chris Stokes, Sustainable Coordinator addressed recycling, restoration of Peter’s
Creek bank area and his meeting with the Delaware River Keeper, and possibly
saving 5 to 10% on utilities by insulating duct work in the houses;
Mayor Pennock addressed the possibility of using CDBG Funds for restoration of
Peter’s Creek Bank and also using the funds for a digital welcome/announcement
sign;
The 2012 Municipal Budget and the fact that the Borough is unable to pay for
busing from September through December, 2012 due to the 2% Tax Levy Cap;
The Trash Contract which expires in December 2012;
Board of Health issues within the Borough of Audubon Park;
Open Fire Burning Ordinance passed by the Mayor and Borough Council on
March 5, 2012;
Parking issues;
4th of July pancake breakfast; and
Crystal Lake Pool Rates for residents of Audubon Park.
Motion made by Councilman Passon to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 PM. Seconded by
Councilman Beeman. All ayes.
