Florida Emergency Preparedness Association
2013 Annual Meeting and Work Session
January 28- February 1, 2013
Rosen Plaza ♦ Orlando, Florida
Call for Presentations
On behalf of the FEPA Board of Directors, Area Governors and Program Committee members, it
is our pleasure to offer to all interested parties a Call for Presentations for consideration in
development of the program for the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association’s annual
meeting. This Call for Presentations is your invitation to submit written ideas for program and
training subject matter for the January 2013 meeting.
The draft format of the meeting includes two days of training sessions on Monday and Tuesday,
General Sessions Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings and full afternoons of workshop
breakout sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. We would like to be able to repeat some of these
sessions so we are looking for high quality, experienced presenters to offer dynamic sessions that
will further the training and education mission of FEPA. Since we promote the “all hazards”
approach to emergency management a broad variety of topics and delivery approaches are
encouraged for consideration. Sessions that provide case-study scenarios, lessons learned and
practical applications of emergency management techniques continue to be a favorite among the
attendees. Because we believe our Exhibit show provides the best venue for displaying the latest
products and services, we cannot allow vendors to demonstrate their products during the training
and workshop sessions. However, we do encourage presentations that address the need for
business and nongovernmental integration into emergency management.
This is your opportunity to provide suggestions to the FEPA Annual Meeting Program
Committee for inclusion in the 2013 program. All persons having expertise or interest are
encouraged to respond. This form is also located on our Website at www.fepa.org. Hotel and
registration information will also be posted to the Website soon.
