3 JUNE 2012- DIAMOND JUBILEE BIG LUNCH – HEOL Y DELYN FIELD.
Just bring a picnic, chairs, blankets etc and join us in celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee. There will be music
performed by two local bands covering favourite songs from the six decades of the Queens reign. 12.30pm. Free event.
10TH JUNE 2012 - LISVANE FUN RUN & BARBECUE
Two -mile Fun Run/Walk, start and finish at the Tennis Club. Route suitable for all ages, Buggies, pushchairs etc.
Followed by a superb Barbecue prepared by members of the Tennis Club. Children £1.00 Adults £1.50 on the day.
MONDAY 11TH JUNE - BRIDGE EVENING - Memorial Hall starting at 7:00 pm.
The ticket price includes a light supper, prizes will be awarded and there will also be a raffle

13TH JUNE 2012 - TEA AND FLUTE FANCIES – 1.30PM – 3.00PM - MEMORIAL HALL
Come and enjoy the beautiful sound of flute music over a cup of tea and a selection of cakes.
Justine Swainson , a former student of the Royal College of Music and Drama will play a variety of flute favourites to suit

THURSDAY 14TH JUNE - PUB QUIZ
The pub quiz returns again this year to exercise your brain cells and provide some friendly competition. Colin Edwards
and his team have arranged another challenging and enjoyable evening for all you quiz buffs . So get a team together

15TH JUNE 2012 – AN EVENING WITH THE LISVANE MEMORIAL HALL PLAYERS.
Bring your own picnic to enjoy in the comfort of the hall while you watch a pot-pourri of sketches, songs and melodrama

SATURDAY 16TH JUNE – QUIZ AND CURRY WITH “THE BEAST”
The Rotary Club of Cardiff have organized a Quiz and Curry Night with Mark Labatt (the beast) from ITV’s The Chase

SUNDAY 17th JUNE - LISVANE PANTHERS FUN DAY Playing Field, Heol-y-Delyn
10:30 – 11.30 - Open Day for boys and girls who want to join the youngest Panthers’ squads for next season.
Prospective players need to be entering school year 2 or 3 in September 2012.
12.00 – 5.00 - A fun day for the Panthers Mini section players.There will be a mini-football tournament followed by an

SUNDAY 17th JUNE - LISVANE VILLAGE SONGS OF PRAISE
6.30pm at St Denys Church
St Denys and Lisvane Baptist Churches come together to worship and celebrate songs old and new. The whole
community is invited to join in and everyone is assured of a very warm welcome.
MONDAY 18th JUNE - GOLF DAY
This event will take place at Llanishen Golf Club with play commencing at noon. It will be a stapleford competition over
18 holes. Entrants will play off their full handicap allowance. The event will be followed by a dinner in the evening at
7:30 for 8:00pm. Applications will be dealt with on a first-come first -served basis.

MONDAY 18th JUNE - TEDDY BEARS PICNIC
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic will be held on the Playing Field, Heol-y-Delyn starting at 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
There will be an hour of fun for all pre-school children and their parents/carers
Admission is £1 per person and all you have to do is bring a Teddy Bear friend, a cup and someone to look after you.

TUESDAY 19th JUNE - W.I. COFFEE MORNING
The WI are running a coffee morning to raise funds for their activities. It will be held in the Memorial Hall at 10:30am.

TUESDAY 19TH JUNE – GRAIG PROTECTION SOCIETY EVENING WALK
As part of the Lisvane Festival, the Graig Protection Society will hold a family friendly evening walk. This will be a circular
walk of about 1 ½ hours duration using some of footpaths in the immediate vicinity of the village. It will be using
footpaths that can be muddy in parts if it has been wet, so suitable footwear should be worn. (It will not be suitable for
pushchairs etc.) We will meet in the playground of the Old School at 7:00 and at the end of the walk we adjourn to the
‘Black Griffin’ to quench our thirsts!
THURSDAY 21st JUNE - VILLAGE FESTIVAL LUNCH- LISVANE MEMORIAL HALL AT 1:00PM
A 2 course lunch including a selection of salads, cold meats, quiches and desserts. Tickets £15 per head (to include a
glass of wine or soft drink) Please book in advance to assist with numbers for catering. Bar available

THURSDAY 21st JUNE - TENNIS CLUB OPEN EVENING From 6:30pm to 10 pm
Lisvane CAC Tennis Club invites anyone interested to come and play tennis.
Everyone is welcome whatever standard you are, a beginner, regular player or have just not played for a while.
Come and see the great facilities we have and meet other members for a fun evening.
We are situated opposite Clos Llysfaen by the railway station. Come and have FUN!!!
FRIDAY 22nd JUNE - LLYSFAEN PRIMARY SCHOOL FETE
Come along to support the school Fete. Start time 3:30pm Stalls, Games and an opportunity to meet up with other
parents, grandparents and friends of our Primary School.
SATURDAY 23rd JUNE – RAINBOW LEAGUE MINI-CRICKET TOURNAMENT 10:00am start, arrive by 9.45am.
For under 9’s (up to and including Year 4s). This will take place at Lisvane Cricket Club's super new cricket ground at St
Mellons and is open to current and prospective cricketers. The ground is situated at the back of Paramount Business
Park, Pascal Close, St Mellons CF3 0LW. No equipment needed, soft ball cricket only. Just turn up with loads of energy!

After the success of lasts year’s Rock Night how could we not do it again!
Finishing the festival in style we have ‘Perfect Day’ who will be playing classics tunes from the 60’s to the present day.
