As a Reservist in the Individual Mobilized Augment Program (IMA), you are required to
maintain a standard of training and readiness different than active duty Marines. You
must remember that although your unit and the RSU Miramar are here to assist you in
meeting your training requirements, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your
training qualifications are up to date.
1. Q) How can I request to go to the rifle or pistol range?
A) Inform your training section and they should give you guidance, if not contact
the Reserve Support Unit Miramar training section.
2. Q) Does the RSU Miramar training section offer swim qualification, gas chamber
or Basic Skill Test (BST)?
A) No, this training must be conducted by your training section. If you have
additional questions or don’t know or having problems with your training section
call RSU Miramar training section.
3. Q) When am I required take the PFT?
A) Refer to Marine Corps Order MCO p6100.12, contact your training section or
the RSU Miramar training section for assistance.
4. Q) When am I required to take the CFT?
