Consideration/Approval of Minutes from April, May and June meetings put over to August.
Committee Reports and Matters
Transportation, Air Quality, Climate Change - Jon Ellison, Richard Seyman
This committee discussed the energy mix from renewable resources and the State’s goal for increasing
reliance on renewable resources from the current 12% up to 30% by 2020.
Land Use - Barry Wasserman, Paul Menard
Currently this committee is following the Easton Place development issues and monitoring the City of
Sacramento General Plan.
Habitat (Habitat 2020) - Betsy Weiland, Matthew Baker
Currently this committee is working with the Bay-Delta steering committee and following the
Cordova Hills project, the Measure A connector, and the zoning amendment for surface mining.
Solid Waste - Tony DeRiggi
Organizational Development - Melinda Bradbury, Graham Brownstein
Consideration of Draft Resolution
Joint resolution by Northern State Building Industry Assoc (NSBIA) and ECOS to work together to
increase funding for transit operations. Plenty of funding is available for capital investments but there
is insufficient funding for the operations.
Motion to approve the resolution: Mike Savino

Motion to amend the first motion by striking the word “primarily” from the statement: Jim

Motion to amend the second motion by inserting the condition that David Mogavero negotiate with
NSBIA to discuss striking the word “primarily” but not to allow this dispute to destroy this joint
resolution: Andy Sawyer
o Seconded: Ellison
o Amendment to the amendment approved.

ECOS has funding through September. Additional funding expected from the Friday night fundraiser,
membership fees, $4,000 from Friends of ECOS general fund, and possibly from the US Highway 50
Support the No on Prop 8 fight to protect marriage equality with a fundraiser at 9onF.
Proposed Green Summit for Yolo County to address the state of the environment around Sacramento.
ARP coalition is hosting a meet and greet with Janet Baker from Sacramento City.
