Vice President of Marketing
The VP of Marketing is a key member of the JAZD Markets Management Team and reports directly to
the CEO and has direct exposure to the Board of Directors. Specific focus of this role is to aggressively
grow sales, increase advertiser client numbers and position JAZD as the dominant B2B Search Network.
At JAZD, every Management Team player is both a proven Senior Marketing & Engineering Innovator
and a hands on get it done now tactical doer. The Qualified Candidate is expected to be a hands on
marketing professional that is personally accountable for high quality results and has a clear
commitment to online marketing innovation. At JAZD this means: you must know what to do, how to
innovate and at the same time personally have the skills, technology knowledge and work experiences
to be able to do it. The Qualified Candidate will have a very full plate in 2012 with extremely important
strategic initiatives to push the company into the clear market leadership position for B2B.

Animated video collections with new JAZD persona demonstrating value and function to
advertiser prospects leading to sales conversions
Directory Advertiser Portal re-design and build out enabling guided self serve selling with new
JAZD persona messaging, look and feel
Build a small and elite team of Digital Marketing professionals that will be the long term
foundation for marketing innovation and client results at JAZD

The selected individual will have a proven track record of innovative online marketing leadership with
specific expertise in building effective marketing campaigns focused on the CMO’s team inside
companies. The ideal candidate will be a leading marketer that thinks like a sales executive and knows
that driving sales is the goal. This results driven marketing executive must have a deep understanding of
the requirements for marketing to online B2B companies and interactive marketing innovation. This
person must have high enthusiasm, rock hard integrity, excellent verbal and written communications
skills, creativity and interest in building a world-class business within a fast paced, entrepreneurial
environment and extreme commitment to accountability for tangible results.
Specific skills and experience required:
7+ years of progressive online B2B marketing leadership experience in a leading marketing
innovation company, search engine, digital agency, marketing software company, SaaS firm, or
social networking firm
Deep understanding of search engine, product directory, web publishing, social platform and
lead generation based business models
Deep understanding of the evolution and application of online marketing products and services
from general pay by the engagement to targeted pay for performance models
Proven ability to grow marketing budget and capacity by delivering pay as you go top line sales
growth and limiting up front out of pocket marketing expenditures
Proven innovation experience in developing innovative marketing services built on a foundation
of buyer and seller interaction including: PPC, paid placement, opt in lead generation, digital
advertising, email/newsletter marketing, video marketing, content syndication, creative services
Proven ability to target, engage and manage a portfolio of cooperation and competition based
partnerships to extend the product portfolio and actively drive high margin growth
Interactive marketing web design and development successes with specific examples of cutting
edge marketing sites that you have lead the charge on
Experience in building outbound audience engagement campaigns with specific experience in
leveraging targeted content, web TV/video, webcasts, social media platforms and blogging
Deep understanding of marketing analytics, user profiling tools and web traffic analytics
Experience with animated video development including development, story board planning,
website integration, social media syndication
Passionate about innovative and entrepreneurial marketing businesses built around client for
An Advanced Degree with a concentration in Marketing, Digital Media or Business from a top school is
strongly required. Complimentary course load focused on entrepreneurship, technology,
communications or sales is highly desirable.
