					                                  UKRAINE GETS ITS’ OWN MTV!

Kyiv/London; 27th August 2007: MTV Networks International, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and
VIA.B) today proudly announce the launch of MTV Ukraine, a dedicated service for the Ukrainian
audience. The channel kicked off on Friday the 24th of August 2007 with “Tantsi” music video by the
famous Ukrainian band Vopli Vidoplyasova.

MTV Ukraine is set to take Ukraine’s music scene to the next level by providing Ukrainian youth with
the best local and International music videos and programming that will reflect their tastes and
interests as well as supporting the nations vibrant music industry.

The 24-hour Ukrainian language lifestyle and entertainment channel will beam its programming via
cable and satellite nationwide. Programming will include both international shows (dubbed in
Ukrainian) and locally produced shows, such as:

MTV News – Daily and extended weekend editions featuring international and local news.
Day MTV (VJ Afternoon) – a daily 4 hour show airing long form programming as well as music
videos, all connected by VJ links.
Rock Ukraine – a daily one hour show which will provide Ukrainian bands with a platform to present
themselves in a way like never before. 12 bands - both well known and not so well known have
been selected for the first season and
MTV Ukraine Top 20 – The flagship show consisting of local and international music videos presented
by one of MTV Ukraine’s VJs. This show will highlight MTV Ukraine’s commitment to showcase music
based on quality rather than the ‘pay-to-play’ practices.

International programming planned to be shown on the channel will include hugely popular MTV
shows such as South Park, Beavis & Butthead, Pimp My Ride, Punk’d and MTV Unplugged to name
but a few.

One of the faces of the channel will be 26-year old Irena Karpa who will host MTV News. Irena’s
down to earth intelligence and healthy Sinicism towards much of Ukraine’s existing music and
celebrity trends, aligns her perfectly with the MTV Ukraine culture.

Yevgen Stupka, General Manager MTV Ukraine: “The importance of this event can scarcely be
exaggerated. New standards, set by MTV will lead to the appearance of the new trends in culture
and show business. Later, when talking about the past, people will talk about two periods: before
MTV and after MTV.”

Peter Charchalis, Vice President, Horizon Capital (one of the founders of MTV Ukraine) commented
“MTV is not just music videos, it's a lifestyle and we're confident that young adult Ukrainians will
make it part of their lives. MTV has influenced entire generations and we're excited about delivering
a Ukrainian language version of one of the world's strongest music and entertainment brands.”

The new channel is also supported by a dedicated Web site and online community - www.mtv.ua -
offering scheduling details, programme-related content and interactive elements.

                                                 - Ends -
