Private Donation The Princess Drive Project Instructions 2012 The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses and accessories to high school girls who cannot otherwise afford them. Since 2002, we have served more than 18,000 girls, and with your generous help, we will serve 3,000+ more at giveaways this spring! We appreciate the time, talent and taffeta you are giving to this effort and want to make sure you have great success in collecting donations. Here are a few easy steps to follow: Spread the word about your private drive 1 Contact The Princess Project at email@example.com to get your dress drive kit and start spreading the word about the collection times at your office, school, church, etc. Please contact us prior to starting your dress drive. As this is a private donation drive, only donors you invite to participate will know of your donation drive. So tell everyone you can! 2 Get ready to receive donations Clear a space to keep the dresses/accessories that people bring your way. Don’t worry about sorting through the donations; we will accept and sort through all the donations you receive. 3 Collect receipt info from donors Each of your donors should receive a receipt from The Princess Project. Prior to accepting their donation, please ensure they fill out the receipt completely. You will need to bring the completed receipts with you when you drop off the donations to the drop site. It is important for the donor to have a record of their tax-deductible donation, and also for The Princess Project to keep track of in-kind donations. Please leave extra time to get these forms completed. 4 Deliver the donations Please contact The Princess Project at firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate delivery of the donations. 5 Leave knowing you made a big difference!
