•ConcerningLocal Government Cooperation With Federal Officials
Regarding The Immigration Status Of Persons In This State.
• This is the Anti- Sanctuary bill. No local
government can pass any ordinance limiting or
prohibiting a peace officer, local official, or local
government employee from cooperating with
federal officials with regard to any person
immigration status. Governing body of each
local government SHALL provide written
notice to all peace officers regarding this duty to
cooperate and provide confirmation annually to
the General Assembly.
Concerning The Creation Of Fraudulent
Documents For The Purpose Of Unlawfully
Establishing Legal Status.
Creates civil penalty of $50,000 if person found to
recklessly forge, counterfeit, alter or falsely make or
provide official documents. Action may be brought
by the AG on behalf of Dept of Labor.
Concerning A Prohibition On The Smuggling
Of Humans Into Colorado.
Smuggling of humans is a class 3 felony.
Concerning A Prohibition Against
Trafficking In Humans.
Trafficking an adult (16+) is a class 3 felony. If adult
being trafficked is here illegally, then a class 2 felony.
PROBLEM/DISCONNECT: Trafficking a child is a
class 3 felony.
Concerning A Prohibition Against The
Extortion Of Immigrants.
Forcing another to pay or give anything of value in
exchange for agreement not to report that person’s
immigration status to law enforcement is extortion
and a class 4 felony.
A person commits coercion of involuntary servitude
if he or she coerces labor or services by threatening
to withhold or destroy immigration related
documents or threatening to notify law enforcement
about immigration status. This is a class 6 felony.
Concerning The Creation Of A Class 5 Felony
For Any Person Who Votes In Any Election
Provided By Law Knowing That The Person
Is Not Entitled To Vote In Such Election.
Class 5 felony to vote when you know you are
not legally entitled to vote.
Concerning Requirement That governmental
Entities Issue Authorization Only To Person
Who Are Lawfully Present In The United
Requires any state agency, board or division under
the Department of Regulatory Agencies that issues
any professional or commercial license to verify
lawful presence in the United States with
presentation of verifiable documentation of legal
status as condition for a license.
Concerning The Recovery Of Federal
Reimbursement for Costs To The State Of
Colorado Associated With Illegal
Order the Attorney General to pursue all available
remedies for the state to seek reimbursement of costs
incurred by the state in dealing with immigration
issues and to file a report with the Governor by
12/31/06 and 12/31/07 regarding progress and
Directive To The Attorney General to Demand Federal
Enforcement of Existing Federal Immigration Laws.
Ordered Attorney General to initiate or join other state in lawsuit
against federal government to demand enforcement of federal
immigration laws by the feds.
*** 2006 VOTER REFERENDUM “K” REQUIRED THE
Suit was filed in U.S. District Court in March 2007 against Alberto
Gonzales (United States Attorney General) and Michael Chertoff
(Dept of Homeland Security) under the “Invasion Clause” of the
Constitution in 2007 (Article IV, Section 4). Case was dismissed in
Sept 2007 one day after the hearing on the motion to dismiss.
Concerning The Immediate Implementation
Of Restrictions On Public Benefits …… For

Requires that anyone 18 years or older seeking
public benefits must provide proof of legal presence
in the United States. Knowingly providing false
information is a violation of C.R.S. 18-8-503 – Perjury
in the Second Degree, a class 1 misdemeanor.
