6. GROW Report (selected highlights)
Main event of the year was the Personal Search Wk @ Auchmuty – a resounding
success. All 3 high schools have active SU X-Change groups that Gwyneth is
supporting. There are many other primary and secondary events including camps
and prayer days. The GROW AGM is on 20th June at 6:30 in Glenrothes Baptist.
7. Bible Society Action Group
The current project they are supporting is for Bible World in Peru. Three events
this year (car boot sale, quiz & St Cuthbert way sponsored walk) have realised
£550. The achievements of this small group are remarkable and there is an open
invitation for anyone to join them.
8. Gravy Train is still providing hot meals for homeless people 50 weeks of the
year. Attendances can be as low as 10, but recent weeks have been around 20-
24. Funding is available for the next two sessions (10 months) and the meals are
Chairperson, Vice-chairperson and Secretary – no nominations were received for
these posts. Treasurer Allan McDonagh, Minutes Secretary George Carratt and
Mary McIndoe (distribution of minutes) will continue for the next session. The
constitution decrees that the chairperson should come from the laity and not the
clergy. Please commit this to prayer.
Carol Singing It was noted that a letter of application for 15th December requires to
be sent to Kingdom Centre management.
Next session in preparation, a letter is to be sent to all Churches inviting them to Send letter
workshop led by Stephen Smyth (Gen Sec ACTS). This will also give them the KP
opportunity to express their opinions on past and future events.
Thanks were recorded to all who contributed and participated in Churches
Together over the last session.
