                                Temporary Part-time (0.5) Positions
                                Term: Approximately 6 Months

QUALIFICATIONS:         -   Registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Registered Nurses
                            of Nova Scotia
                        -   BLS - C (current)
                        -   Current certification in CPI or willingness to obtain
                        -   TNCC and ACLS certified or willingness to obtain certification within six months of
                        -   Computer literacy or willingness to obtain
DEMONSTRATED:           -   Commitment to the philosophy of family centred care nursing
                        -   Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills is required
                        -   Proven clinical knowledge and the ability to use sound professional judgement
                        -   Organizational and priority-setting skills
                        -   Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an
                            interdisciplinary team
                        -   Ability to adapt to new and varied work situations
                        -   Commitment to self-learning and continuous professional development
                        -   Personal and professional leadership abilities
                        -   Physical ability to perform duties of the position
                        -   Utilization of nursing process
                        -   Team leading skills
                        -   Good attendance and work record; ability to work as member of the health care team
                        -    Commit to maintain and protect patient, client and personal safety on an ongoing
                        -    Annually access the training and education on patient, client and personal safety
                            made available by GASHA
