The Intercultural Affairs Committee of Student Senate is launching the anti-hate
campaign, 10 Ways to Fight Hate, this January! Currently, we are looking for student
organizations that are interested in joining our commitment to end hate at Grand Valley.
If interested, your organization would help sponsor one of the ten steps of the campaign
during the campaign’s calendar timeline. If interested contact Rachael Williams at
Rachaelj.Williams@gmail.com or Joy Whitt at Whittj@student.gvsu.edu.
The ten steps are as follows…
                              1. Rise Up
                              2. Pull Together
                              3. Speak Out
                              4. Support the Victims
                              5. Name it, Know it
                              6. Understand the Media
                              7. Know your Campus
                              8. Teach Tolerance
                              9. Maintain Momentum
                              10. Pass the Torch
This is a great way to get involved and help Grand Valley radiate tolerance throughout
campus! Act out and RISE UP!

Student Organization Center
008 Kirkhof Guess what!? We have re-organized the mailboxes once again. With the new year, comes
a new system… the mailboxes should be in alphabetical order according to each RSO
Phone Classification. There is a master-list of the student organizations and their mailbox in
331-2360 alphabetical order to the right of the shelves. If you need assistance please ask a desk
consultant! We will also be getting new labels by the end of the week, so if your
organization’s name has changed in the last semester, it should be corrected by Friday.
Thank-you for being patient with us!
