Course Overview

In this one semester course, students will
be responsible for creating, developing,
writing, editing, designing, and producing
monthly issues of the school newspaper,
Sailors On the Scene.
Our Motto

    Use Agreement
Tardy Policy

A student is tardy if he/she is not in their
assigned seat and ready to work.

    1st – verbal warning
    2nd – verbal warning & parent contact
    3rd – 2 hour detention & parent contact

    4th – 2 hour detention & ½ day in-school suspension
    5th – full day in-school suspension
    6th – out-of-school suspension & parent meeting
Procedures & Routines

All classroom procedures and routines will
be followed each day to allow for a safe and
effective learning environment.
Grading

Students will be graded on their work and
points will be awarded based on draft
checklists and performance evaluations.
There will not be a lot of opportunities to
earn points, so each check will be of the
utmost importance.

A 93-100    C 73-77
A- 90-92    C- 70-72
B+ 88-89    D+ 68-69
B   83-87   D 63-67
B- 80-82    D- 60-62
C+ 78-79    F   0-60
