colleges and autonomous and deemed universities too that offer several courses in engineering. These
colleges provide admission either on basis of their respective state’s entrance exam or they conduct

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Entrance Exams
The eligibility criteria differ from institute to institute but usually to appear for an Engineering entrance
exam the candidate should have completed 10+2 in science from any recognised board for B.E/B.Tech
and should have completed B.E/B.Tech for masters’ course.
Engineering Entrance Exam Pattern
Generally most of the engineering entrance exams have 2 papers. One which is sub divided into 3
subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The other paper is in selected engineering entrance
exams where a test is conducted on aptitude and drawing in case of B.Arch or B.Planning. The questions
papers are mostly objective multiple choice.
Engineering Entrance Exam Dates
Usually various colleges have their own time of selection and conduction of entrance exams, but most of
them are organised between December to July every year.
