Rule

							Ch. 3 Converting Numbers in Scientific Notation to Standard Form

Rule: Move the decimal to the right the number of times according to the
exponent on the ten. (Add zeros in blank spaces)

Ex. 3.4 x 104 = 3.4   0 0 0      so…the new number is 34000



Ex. .782 x 104 = 7820



Ex. 5 x 107 = 5000000
