Sharing Family Memories on DVD
1. How to Use Photo Story 3 for Windows……….a free download - www.msn.com
- Chose “Begin a new story”
- Click on “Import pictures” and select pictures for slide show, individually or from a multiple selection
- Remove black border if any
- Edit each picture that appears on the story line as desired (e.g., rotate, crop, red eye, color, contrast)
- Save changes frequently
- Add text
- Select length of display
- Introduce motion into picture specifying start and end position
- Select transition and its length
- Preview often and change as desired
- Introduce narration for each picture
- Add background music
- Name and save project
- Chose what to do with the story (i.e., save for computer playback, send as an e-mail, etc.)
2. How to Use Click to DVD……….note the theme
A. Picture Menu - for slide shows
- import pictures
- reorganize sequence
- chose transitions
- chose display time
- select background music (MP3 or .WAV audio files only)
- put slide shows in different folders
- label each slide as desired
- label folders
- slide shows now ready for playing under Picture Menu
B. Movie Menu - for videos
- divide imported video into clips
- reorganize clips in preferred sequence
- add and label folders for different clips
- discard unwanted clips
- compose titles and place before, during or after clips
- combine clips or keep separate for separate chapters
C. Burn to a DVD
- create a menu
- chose a theme (with or without music or motion)
- label chapters
- insert blank DVD and burn to it
