they would meet, realizing their soulful bond had transcended space and time. They, who seemed so
different on the outside, harbored a kindred musical spirit on the inside. And it is reflected on their new
recording “Earl Thomas With Paddy Milner & The Big Sounds,” a stunning collection of contemporary

** TENBY BLUES FESTIVAL **
Tenby, on Wales magical South West coast is buzzing with anticipation for the 4th. Blues Festival which
is happening on the weekend of 13th. – 15th. November.
The team behind the festival have been beavering away to make sure that despite the financial
atmosphere a cracking line up of blues stars (and future stars) will be raising the roofs all around the
town. Concert prices have been pegged at last years rates, and there are twice as many free gigs than
last year, making it even better value.
The team are determined to bring many different aspects of blues music to the friendly seaside town,
from piano based big band soul, classic 60’s R’n’B. to modern & vintage acoustic artists. The great soul
singer Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner and The Big Sounds headline the Friday night at the Devalence
supported by The Coalhouse Walker band from Leicester. Singer Earl Thomas grew up in rural
Tennessee and teamed up with rocking pianist Paddy Milner during a Blues Cruise in the Caribbean. “I
think that the blues wants to evolve, and we want to be leaders in that evolution ….. we want to break
new ground” said Earl Thomas.
All day on Saturday the town’s pubs clubs and restaurants will be bursting with free music of all kinds,
with extra late night sessions at the Giltar Hotel. An acoustic jam will take place in the afternoon for all
players and Saturday night’s big gig will be in the monster hands of Nine Below Zero - classic sixties
British rhythm & blues.
On Saturday and Sunday blues films will be shown late morning and DJ Eugene will spin those 45’s in the
Devalence foyer in the afternoons, so there will be something to suit everyone for a great weekend in
Wales, all indoors and many events free! See the website http://www.tenbyblues.co.uk and get your
