									                                     THE LETTER T

ESSENTIAL LEARNING: We will use the letter T to exercise and move our bodies.

ACTIVITIES:
    T-tag (taggers tag with soft balls, if tagged freeze in the letter “T” until someone mirrors
        you and yells “Thank you”)
    Tiptoe tiger (pick a tiger to fall asleep at one end of the gym, students tiptoe from
        middle black line close to tiger, when you say “Tiger’s awake” students flee from tiger
        back to black line, if caught or tagged by tiger they become a tiger also) be safe in
        personal space, tag nicely, start game over when there are about 5 students left tiptoeing



                                    THE LETTER S

ESSENTIAL LEARNING: We will use the letter S to exercise and move our bodies.

ACTIVITIES:
    Slide sideways (practice this locomotor movement having students move sideways, feet
        open and close with a little hop in the middle, like guarding in basketball)
    Scarves (students dance to rhythmic music with scarves creatively)
    Swimming scooters (students swim freestyle, backstroke, butterfly on scooters)




                                    THE LETTER R

ESSENTIAL LEARNING: We will use the letter R to exercise and move our bodies.

ACTIVITIES:
    Running (practice this locomotor movement without crashing into others and changing
        running speeds)
 Relay races (set up cones and have students take turns racing to cone and back, on a
  high-five the next runner goes until everyone has finished)
