I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing holiday. We’re into the next part of our
anniversary year and plans are being made for some exciting opportunities for the choir.

Our first event is our 2nd annual Sing ‘n Swim which is being held on Tuesday, February 1 st.
Please note that we will still have our regular rehearsal the next day on Wednesday,
February 2nd. Permission forms are going home today and are due back by January 26 th at
the very latest.

Preparations are on the way for an overnight trip for the choir in May. Please keep May 12 th
and 13th free as possible trip dates. Upon board approval I will set up a parents meeting
where details will be given and questions will be answered. Thank you for your patience!

The Nova Scotia Choral Federation is sponsoring the first ever Provincial Children’s Chorus
of Nova Scotia with Stephen Hatfield as inaugural conductor. I am
only permitted to send six (6) of my choir members to this
wonderful event. If your daughter is interested, and you are
going to be available for all rehearsals during the day on
March 26/27, AND April 8, 9, and 10th please email me no later than Tuesday, January 11th
at 11 pm. Next Wednesday I will put all the names in a hat and the first 6 names to be pulled
out will be the ones I send. Registration fees are $85 per singer and I need to register the
students and forward the fees by the last week in January. Registration Fee Includes: Tuition
for 15 hours of rehearsal • Music loan • T-shirt • 2 lunches at final rehearsal session. If your
daughter is selected as one of the six to represent our choir in this event I will need to collect
the $85 (cheque made payable to NSCF) from each student by January 26 th. I wish I could
send the whole choir but that is not allowed. 
