              Priority 1.6.2
      Sustainable Surface Transport
I. Developing environmentally friendly transport systems and
means of transport
Objective 1. New technologies and concepts for all surface
transport modes (road, rail and waterborne)
Objective 2. Advanced design and production techniques
II Making surface transport safer, more effective and more
competitive
Objective 3. Re-balancing and integrating different modes
    of transport
Objective 4. Increasing road, rail and waterborne safety
    and avoiding traffic congestion
Priority 1.6.2 Sustainable Surface Transport :
     two complementary approaches

DG TREN :
Research to support the European Transport Policy.
