Hydroponics Hydroponics means growing plants in water with the correct minerals supplied. This method of growing plants means that the balance of minerals can be very carefully controlled. Tomatoes are examples of plants that are grown using hydroponics. More information available at - www.thehydroponicum.com/ Equipment – 2 petri dishes. 20 cress seeds – water, Baby Bio Petri Dish 1 Plant 10 cress seeds in cotton wool in a Petri dish. Soak the cotton wool with water. Petri Dish 2 Plant 10 cress seeds in cotton wool in a Petri dish. Soak the cotton wool with water that has had 5 drops of Baby Bio added. The Petri dishes should continue to be watered with either just water (Petri dish 1) or water and Baby Bio mixture (Petri dish 2) Observe the growth of the seeds over a two week period and see what difference there is between them.
