ADVENTURE DAY CAMP
A weeklong adventure day camping program has been planned by Dubuque Leisure
Services in cooperation with the Four Mounds Foundation. Planned activities include the
Four Mounds challenge ropes course, canoeing, caving, ecosystem adventures, etc. The
camp runs for one week and there are eight weekly sessions between June 15-August 7.
Transportation is provided. Cost is free for low income-qualifying families or $100 per

BASEBALL
Loras Baseball Coach Carl Tebon’s Summer Training Camp returns to the Dubuque Sports
Complex this summer. The camp, which stresses the fundamentals of baseball will feature three
sessions: June 15-18, June 22-25 and June 29-July 2. Cost is $120 per camper and $220 for two
campers from the same family. Each camp is limited to 50 campers. Reservations must be made
by June 1. Reservations are non-refundable. To reserve a spot in the camp, call Coach Tebon at

BASKETBALL
The Bellevue Boys Basketball Camp will play June 8-12 at Bellevue High School. The camp
runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day. Cost is $50 by May 1 and $60 afterward. Camp fee
includes a T-shirt, basketball and door prizes.

The Dubuque Senior boys basketball program will host leagues and camps for players this
summer in Nora Gym. Cost of the summer league is $35. Camp cost is $40. Middle school camp
will play June 9-12. Boys in grades 4-7 (the next school year) will meet from 9-11 a.m. Grades
8-9 will meet from 1-3 p.m. and includes a camp T-shirt and daily awards. A three-week summer
league will follow from June 16-July 2.

The inaugural Dubuque Senior Sophomore/JV summer league hits the court June 7 and runs on
Sunday evenings for four weeks. Each team will play two games per night and all games will
have licensed officials. The cost for the league is $200.

The fourth annual Senior 9th grade summer league will tip off July 5 and run Sunday and
Tuesday evenings for three weeks. Each team will play two games per night and all games will
have licensed officials. The cost for the league is $300.

Western Dubuque’s Bobcat Grade School Summer Camp will play June 22-25 at the WDHS
Gym. The camp is open to players in grades 3-8. Grades 3-5 will meet from 8-10 a.m. Grades 6-8
will play from 10 a.m.-noon. Cost is $35 and includes a camp T-shirt. Checks and registration

Western Dubuque High School will offer its Bobcats High School Summer Camp July 13-16 at
the WDHS Gym. The camp is open to players in grades 9-12 and will run from 9 a.m.-noon.

Loras College will help players play at the next level with the Girls’ Duhawk Skills Camp June
9-11. The camp, open to girls in grades 4-8, will run from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Loras Athletic and
Wellness Center. Cost is $65 per participant and includes meals, T-shirt and prizes. Loras College
cannot refund cancellations after the June 1 deadline for registration, payment and waivers. For

Loras College will host a Girls High School Elite Camp July 13-16 at the Loras Athletic and
Wellness Center. The camp, open to girls in grades 9-12, runs from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The camp is
designed to prepare players for their high school programs and help players with college
aspirations improve their games. Cost is $130 per player and includes meals, T-shirts and prizes.
Loras College is unable to refund cancellations after the July 6 deadline for registration, payment
and signed waivers.

The Dubuque Hempstead Mustang boys basketball high school camp will be held June 9, 10
and 12 at Moody Gym. June 9 is 7-9 pm. June 10 and June 12 is 9-11 am. The camp is for all
boys interested in playing baskeball for Hempstead. The Mustang boys basketball coaching staff
with run the camp. Cost will be $40 payable to Mustang Boys Basketball due the first day of
camp.

The Dubuque Hempstead Mustang middle school camp will play July 6-9 from 11 am-1 pm at
Moody Gym. The camp is for all boys entering 5th through 8th grade who are interested in
playing basketball for Hempstead High School. The Mustang boys basketball coaching staff will
run the camp, which will focus on individual and team skill development. Cost is $50 payable to
Mustang Boys Basketball due the first day of camp.

The Girls Intensity Traveling Basketball program will be hosting a camp for Intensity
team members and girls who will be in 3rd-8th grade next year and are interested in
joining the program. (Attendees who are 5th grade or older must have at least two years of
playing experience.) The camp will be held twice a week at the Dubuque Community Y
from July 13 to August 5 between 8-11 a.m. Costs range from $40-75 for Y members
and $65-100 for non-members.

The Dubuque Wahlert girls grade school basketball camp will be June 10-12 for players
in grades 3-8. The camp will run from 1-3 p.m. each day. Cost is $59 and includes a t-
shirt.

The University of Dubuque will hold a shooting camp for players in grades 3-8 from
June 22-24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The cost is $75 and includes lunch each day and a t-
shirt.

The UD Tri-State Team Shootout will take place on July 11 (varsity) and July 12 (junior
varsity). The cost is $160 per team and each team is guaranteed three games and t-shirts.

DANCE
Learn the fundamentals of dance and cheer at the Dubuque Community Y from June 25-
27. For youth in 1st to 4th grade. The camp will run between 9 a.m. and Noon with the
cost of $40 for Y members and $80 for non-members.

FOOTBALL
San Diego Chargers’ kicker and former Iowa star Nate Kaeding will headline the Midwest
Special Teams Camp June 24-25 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. The camp is open to
athletes 12-21 years old. Kaeding will head the kicking staff and former NFL punter and former
Northern Iowa standout Derrick Frost will head the punting staff. Former Hawkeye star Ed
Hinkel will offer instruction for kickoff and punt returners. Camp tuition is $295 for kickers or

SOCCER
University of Dubuque Youth Soccer Camp for Boys and Girls Age 6-14. June 15, 16, 17, 18.

under the lights and Pizza Party for players and families). Cost: $75 and includes t-shirt.

University of Dubuque Striker / Goalkeeper Camp for Boys and Girls Age 6-18. July 14, 15, 16.

TRACK AND FIELD
The Dubuque Senior H.S. track and field program will host its Leaner Faster Stronger Camp
for boys and girls in grades 7-12 and families June 8-Aug. 7. The camp is an endurance program
for aerobic athletes and can help athletes in endurance sports like cross country, track, soccer,
road racing, triathlons and biking. The camp will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from
6:30 a.m.-7:50 a.m. on the steps of Senior High’s Nora Gym. Cost is $25 for the entire family.
Families should bring money to the first session. The camp will make exceptions for low income
families. No one will be excluded because of cost. Campers should bring a running watch, a

VOLLEYBALL
New Y Storm Volleyball Summer Camp for grades 1st through 8th will be held June 9-12. Games
will also be played in addition to fundamental and skill development. Grades 1-4 will be at camp
from 9 a.m.-Noon and grades 5-8 from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $60 for Y members and $120 for non-

Clarke will be holding a volleyball team camp and league for incoming high school 9th
through 12th graders from June 17 to August 12 on eight consecutive Wednesdays. There
is an eight-team limit at the varsity and junior varsity levels. The cost is $300 per team
