1. Marriage is a picture of Christ and His Church.                  Eph 5:22-23
2. Good relationships in the home are commanded by God.             Col 3
3. Poor relationships in the home are poor testimonies and reflect badly upon Christ.   Tit 2:4-5
4. Poor relationships hinder your prayer life.                      I Pet 3
5. Poor relationships lessen the effectiveness of pastors.          I Tim 3

II. WHAT ARE THE HUSBAND’S DUTIES TO HIS WIFE?
THE BIBLE SAYS:                EPH 5:22               GEN 2:24            I PETER 3:7
I TIM 5:8                      EPH 5:28-29            COL 3:19            I COR 7:2-4
FROM THIS WE LEARN:                    THE HUSBAND
1. He is to love his wife.                                    Eph 5:25
2. He is to leave parents & dedicate schedule to his parents. Gen 2
3. He is to nourish his wife. Eph 5:28-29 Nourish means to feed, nurse, and supply for needs.
4. He is to cherish his wife. Eph 5:29 Cherish means soften by heat—tender care.
5. He is not to be bitter.                                    Col 3:19
6. He is to honor wife as the weaker vessel. I Pet 3:7 Honor means value.
7. He is to meet her physical needs.                          I Cor 7:2-4
8. He is to meet the financial needs of the family.           I Tim 5:8

III. WHAT ARE THE WIFE’S DUTIES TOWARD HER HUSBAND?
THE BIBLE SAY:                 TITUS 2:4, 5           I PET 3:4              EPH 5:22-24, 33
PRO 12:4; 31:11-12,            I COR 7:2-4

1. She is to love her husband. Titus 2:4 That is a choice she has to make.
2. She is to submit to her husband.          Titus 2:5       Eph 5:22-24
3. She is to maintain ameek & quiet spirit toward her husband.       I Pet 3:4
4. She is to keep the home.                  Prov 14:1       Titus2:5
5. She is to be trustworthy.                 Prov 31:11
6. She is to do him good not evil.           Pro 31:12
7. She is to be virtuous.                    Prov. 12:14
