Eight copies, including all materials, of the requested statements of qualifications must
be submitted to Randolph-Macon  Woman’s  College  with  the  outer  package  and  the 
inner envelope clearly labeled “A/E Services Master Plan RFQ”.  Address the package

The Board of Trustees of Randolph-Macon  Woman’s  College,  Lynchburg,  Virginia is
seeking a statement of interest and qualifications from Architectural, Engineering and
Planning firms to provide the following services:

        Architectural and engineering planning services covering the development
        of a new Master Plan for Buildings and Facilities, including all supporting
        utilities, for the College’s current and future needs.

        Primary Objectives:
                 Determine the physical needs required to accomplish the College’s 
                 strategic directions, including transition to coeducation and
                 significant enrollment growth from 725 students.
                 Improve the functional and aesthetic quality of college facilities to
                 aid in student recruitment and retention.
                 Establish a plan for prioritized growth.
                 Provide a programmatic basis for physical planning with a
                 comprehensive and defensible approach to determining future
                 space needs.
                 Integrate physical planning with financial planning and
                 environmental concerns.

The Statement of Qualifications and Performance data shall include but not be limited to:

        a)       Qualifications of the firm or firms
        b)       Qualifications of professional personnel
        c)       Location of the firm or firms
        d)       Work load of professional personnel
        e)       Record of past performance with similar projects
        f)       References, including name, address, telephone and email
        g)       Brief description of the firms approach to master planning

General Information:
On September 9, 2006, the R-WMC Board of Trustees voted to adopt a new strategic
plan which includes admitting men to the College. On December 9, 2006, the Board
announced that the College would be renamed Randolph College effective July 1, 2007.
The College is now actively recruiting women and men under the banner of Randolph

For 115 years, R-MWC has offered women a rigorous education in the liberal arts and
sciences. Beginning in the fall of 2007, Randolph College will build on that tradition when
while going coed—and become a global honors college.
