The Board of Trustees of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, Virginia is
seeking a statement of interest and qualifications from Architectural, Engineering and
Planning firms to provide the following services:
Architectural and engineering planning services covering the development
of a new Master Plan for Buildings and Facilities, including all supporting
utilities, for the College’s current and future needs.
Determine the physical needs required to accomplish the College’s
strategic directions, including transition to coeducation and
significant enrollment growth from 725 students.
Improve the functional and aesthetic quality of college facilities to
aid in student recruitment and retention.
Establish a plan for prioritized growth.
Provide a programmatic basis for physical planning with a
comprehensive and defensible approach to determining future

The Statement of Qualifications and Performance data shall include but not be limited to:
a) Qualifications of the firm or firms
b) Qualifications of professional personnel
c) Location of the firm or firms
d) Work load of professional personnel
e) Record of past performance with similar projects
f) References, including name, address, telephone and email
g) Brief description of the firms approach to master planning
On September 9, 2006, the R-WMC Board of Trustees voted to adopt a new strategic
plan which includes admitting men to the College. On December 9, 2006, the Board
announced that the College would be renamed Randolph College effective July 1, 2007.
The College is now actively recruiting women and men under the banner of Randolph
