It is easy to build a website as there are lots of web developers everywhere, but how to get profits
from the site you spent so much money to build? Is the website effective? Today we are going to
share with you how to create a marketing-oriented website which can bring money to you.

To build a marketing-oriented website, we need take three things into consideration, and those
are: SEO, human-friendly, and built-in marketing function.

First, we need to think about SEO when opening a website. Whatever business you do, you expect
people can find you on the search engines like Google or Bing, right? The search engines is like
the government in the internet world. They get and then distribute the traffic, and traffic is
money for online business. So if you want to get traffic to your site, you need to know how to
please the search engines. SEO is the way of how to please search engines actually. SEO professionals
understand the search engine algorithm well, and can help you to get you site a higher ranking
by following search engine algorithm.

Second, our sites should be friendly to human. Here are some ideas: 1. how long does it take to
open your site? Get a watch and time it. If it is longer than 5 seconds, you`d better change to
a faster server. 2. Can people find the stuff they want easily and quickly? You need to test it.
Listen to site users and get feedbacks, and then analyze how could optimize your site to make it
more friendly to people.

Last but not least, remember to add marketing function to your site, like traffic tracking and
analysis tool like Google analytics, instant communication tools if you have an Ecommerce site,
CRM system, etc. The traffic tracking and analysis tool is very important. It can tell you where
and when your visits come from, and how long they stay, how many pages they visit, etc. Monitor
and analyze your site traffic regularly. This could be used as the map of your online marketing
activities. Whenever you get lost, please remember to refer to it. The instant communication tools,
like MSN, Skype or any other online customer service tool help potential clients to resolve their
problems with quickly, and thus make an order timely. The customer relationship management system,
or CRM, will help you to manage the leads, and convert them to real customers afterwards. Please
remember, 80% of sales are made after the 5th to 12th contact.
