It has been an eventful and exciting two year. This is my last newsletter before
the new Board takes over from 01 June 2009 for a term upto 31 March 2011.
A nomination committee headed by Mr. Ahmed Saeed Past President has been
formed. Nominations to the Chapter Board has been sought from all of you
and in case not received by any of you then please contact Ms. Laila Jiwani (Tel
# 5862318-20 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org). You are requested to send in
your nominations by 20 May 2009.
We are looking forward to new and active members who can dedicate at least
10 hours a week to join this high level volunteer base. Active participation in
helping in the chapter activities is a rewarding/grooming and learning

I have been very fortunate in having a very active and enthusiastic board that
has helped me achieve and implement all the activities of the past two years.
I would like not only recognize the hard work put in by the outgoing board but
also thank them for their dedicate work /professionalism and support during
the last two years without which I would not be able to have the activities that
I take this opportunity to recap some of the important accomplishments that
we had in taking the Karachi Chapter to elusive heights:
1. 4-day workshop to mark ISACA 40 years celebrations.
2. Regular CISA review course for June and December attempt.
3. Members CPE events.
4. Collaborative initiatives with IIA, ICAP, ICMAP, FAMCO Associates,
HRM Services and ECAS.
5. Presentation at IT Ministry Government of Pakistan.
6. Presentation at Asia Leadership Conference held in Singapore in 2007.
7. Regular publication of bimonthly Newsletter.
